Tuesday Ten - favorite things on this trip
1. Getting to spend time exploring with the little sis and getting to remember the last time I was here.
2. Having a full on afternoon tea in London. Ending with strawberries and prosecco.
3. Seeing Les Mis again in the West End with 2 mini champagne splits at intermission.
4. Not giving a shit and surviving mainly off croissants. I had them for breakfast and dinner today.
5. Getting to look out my window in Paris and see the Eiffel tower.
6. Actually getting to spend time in museums and appreciate what is there. KW and I hit the louvre last time after 2 hours of sleep and I didnt give it enough attention. This time we went all audio guide and meandered.
7. Doing the same at the National Gallery in London. And just getting to stand and stare at works by da Vinci, Raphael, michaelangelo, van gogh, Monet, and Renoir.
8. Loving every minute of just sitting in a park or a cafe watching people. I need to do it more.
9. Not feeling guilty that after 9 days of continuous walking and lots-o-stairs that we took this afternoon to nap and watch Angels in the Outfield on YouTube. It’s still time with my sister.
10. Realizing how awesome it is to travel and see places so rich in history and so beautiful - but missing home and appreciating the history I’m making there.
This is the most French I can get. Skinny jeans, red ballet flats, blue stripes and macaroons on the steps of the Musee d’Orsay. But that’s really it. I’m not very French.
